Contat Us Guestbook Photos Services. She was married to the late James P. Fay for 65 years.
She is survived by her children, James P. Fay, Jr. Trips to St. Petersburg, Florida with her parents was a precious childhood memory of hers. A four-year courtship followed and on May 10,after James completed an around-the-world tour of duty with the United States Navy during the Korean War, the then year-old girl married her sailor boy. In the years to follow, the four children whom she adored arrived- Jimmy, Christine, Stephen and Sharon.

Living in Rumford, and later in Narragansett, RI, Janice fully enjoyed being a loving wife to Jim and a loving mother to their children. Her parenting years were defined by joyous family holidays, Sunday afternoon dinners, day trips to South County beaches, homemade picnic lunches at the many New England fairs, and family trips to Lake George, NY every August. In more recent years, she and her husband Jim, wintered in her beloved Florida, alongside the pelicans and sand dollars that she loved.
Janice was an avid reader, reading multiple books each week.
She enjoyed classic movies, a hobby that was formed decades earlier while going to the 'movie-house' every week as. She also enjoyed knitting as she created beautiful specialty afghans for family members.

Her favorite quote was "You can never have a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me". In addition to being a proud grandmother to her ten grandchildren, she was also an adoring "G. Janice was a kind, gentle and giving person who loved spending time with family and friends. She is loved dearly and will be forever missed and forever in our hearts.
