Description
A South Lake Tahoe man is under arrest for carjacking and false imprisonment after he allegedly tried to steal a woman's car while she was inside it.
Monday, June 12 at p. South Lake Tahoe Police responded to a report of a carjacking in progress at the at Pioneer Trail. When officers arrived, they found the victim, a year-old woman sitting in her vehicle.
The naked truth
The victim says she was walking out of thewhen she saw a naked Hispanic man, identified as Cobos-Martinez, walking towards her. She says she ran to her BMV and tried to lock herself inside.
Cobos-Martinez allegedly opened her door and tried to get her out of the car by pulling on her hair and clothes. The victim fought back and says he then got into her car and tried to steal it, with her still inside.

Police say people nearby stepped in and pulled Cobos-Martinez from the car. Police say Cobos-Martinez then ran across the street to his hotel room where he was later arrested without incident and booked into the El Dorado County Jail.
